Finding my place at TriTogether

Hi everyone! My name is Jasmine and I’m taking over the blog this week (sorry, Hannah)! A little about me: I first got involved with TriTogether last year after discovering Hannah through the BU Alumni Network and signing up as a volunteer tutor. Over the course of that school year, I worked with two students, helping them with everything from math homework to building their English vocabulary.

I really enjoyed my time as a tutor. Being part of my students’ academic journeys—and sometimes even their personal growth—showed me how much impact just one hour a week can have. So when Hannah checked in with me mid-year, I couldn’t help but ask, “What else can I do for TriTogether?” Fast forward to today, and I’m thrilled to now be part of the core team as Head of Marketing, working to strengthen our digital presence and brand awareness.

Over the past few months, I’ve been focused on growing our community outreach while staying true to our mission and values of education, equity, and community. You may have seen our feature in The Simmons Voice or noticed student organizations resharing our posts on Instagram. As we continue to share our name and story more widely, we want to make sure that anyone who finds us—on our website, social media, or in the news—can recognize the pillars of care and community that define TriTogether.

I don’t know if I can pick just one favorite part of my TriTogether experience so far. As both a tutor and member of the team, I’ve been challenged in the best ways and deeply fulfilled by what we’ve accomplished so far this school year. What I can say is that I’m so grateful to have a role in this growing organization. To anyone reading this who wants to be part of something meaningful, then here it is.
