And it’s June
How is it already June? The weather seems to have been either all cold or all hot, and I feel like we missed out on some of those perfect spring days… but I don’t think our students are too bothered by that because they’re almost done with school for the year! Those of our tutors who are college students are finished and off to internships, jobs, and (hopefully) some relaxation. The world can slow down for a moment.
I am so excited to see that so many of our matches are continuing next year, with some even continuing over the summer. More than 10 students have already confirmed that they want to continue into the summer — what an awesome dedication to their learning. We recently had a LearnTogether about avoiding the “summer slide,” and I’m so impressed that so many of our students and their families are keeping TriTogether as a part of their summer routine. For those who need a bit of a break, we’re excited that almost every student plans to return in the fall, many even staying with the same dedicated tutor.
Though the school year isn’t quite over, here are some fun stats I’ve been wanting to share. Keep in mind that last year we had only four students for the majority of the school year. Stats can also be a bit tricky to collect because some students don’t finish the year with us, while others join later in the school year. Therefore, the number of sessions a student had with us tends to be the best representation of our work with them.
More than 30 students had five or more sessions with us this school year. Wow… that’s pretty cool. Even without counting the students who only spend a month with us for a specific topic before deciding they no longer need tutoring, more than 30 students worked with us consistently.
Even more impressive? More than 15 students completed at least 15 sessions with us. With weekly sessions, 15 sessions represents about four months of consistent work. And our two highest-attending students each completed more than 30 sessions!
Overall, during the 2025–2026 school year, we will have almost 550 sessions. FIVE HUNDRED AND FIFTY SESSIONS! Our best month was April, with 87 sessions. Even more impressive? During the entire month of April, we only had six no-shows (which don’t count toward these session totals).
The overall takeaway: holy moly, we have incredible students and tutors. I am so proud of the dedication our students displayed this year toward their learning and academic progress. And for our tutors, I continue to be impressed by their hard work, consistency, and the creative ways that they engage our students.
Thank you all for a wonderful school year. We’re looking forward to a great summer… and before we know it, the 2026–2027 school year will be here!
