Let's LearnTogether

TriTogether is evolving in a way that makes me proud, and along the way our “why” is becoming clearer. Yes, we provide free tutoring to kids in foster care—but part of our “why” is our deep belief in education, community, and equity.

Equity is different from equality. Equality means, in the most basic sense, giving everyone the same resources. Equity, on the other hand, recognizes that different people need different things to achieve similar outcomes. At TriTogether, our aim isn’t simply to provide tutoring;  it’s to provide students in foster care with the specific support they need to have the same opportunities to succeed as everyone else.

Our role in that is academic support.

Reflecting on our “why”—education, community, and equity—we realized we could incorporate these values into our broader mission. With this in mind, we’re excited to introduce LearnTogether, a free speaker series featuring passionate people working in equity who want to share their knowledge and experiences with all of us. What better way to embody education, community, and equity than by coming together to learn—at no charge—and be inspired.

Our lineup of speakers represents diverse backgrounds and perspectives, each drawing from lived experience to reflect on our “why.” We invite you to visit our website to learn more about our first speaker, Priya Lane, an award-winning attorney at Lawyers for Civil Rights.

We hope you will sign up and join us on this journey to bring our mission to a wider audience. Why? Because education, community, and equity matter to us— and we believe they matter to you, too!
